Join storyteller Sarah Hobbs through the twists and turns of the seasons for a short evening storywalk or tales by the firepit, in this very special part of the Cairngorms National Park.
Sharing stories of the land here, from mythology to folk tales to hidden or silenced histories, Sarah weaves together archaeology, ecology, foraging, and Gaelic language and culture. It’s a slow-paced way to get to know this place more deeply, and really connect – all together with a cup of seasonal foraged tea.
Suitable for all ages.
Description of evening
Depending on group choice and also weather conditions, we can take a short stroll to an excellent viewpoint (foraging along the way) or sit round a cosy firepit. The stories – where we ‘go’ and what is shared – will depend on your interests…
Evenings from October to March can also include stargazing, and Gaelic stories of the stars.
All evenings include seasonal foraged tea for everyone.
What to wear/bring
Please dress appropriately for being outdoors! This usually means warm, waterproof clothing. Please wear strong, sturdy shoes suitable for uneven paths and a sit pad/mat is a good idea for keeping warm when we sit.
What I will bring
I will bring wild tea, a basket of tricks, and a smile. I will also have hand sanitiser and a First Aid kit with me just in case.
